Riese & Müller ESG Highlights
During the on-site visit, R&M demonstrated its sophisticated traffic flow planning and strict object storage design, fully embodying the spirit of German craftsmanship and becoming a management model worthy of emulation in the eyes of the members. In terms of sustainable packaging, R&M uses highly durable recycled cardboard for its products. A single cardboard box can be reused over 100 times, significantly reducing single-use waste. R&M also has established a recycling program with bike shops, allowing products to enter the recycling system and aluminum alloy parts to be reused, effectively reducing the product's carbon footprint. In terms of corporate culture, R&M actively promotes low-carbon commuting, offering employee bicycle rental subsidies to encourage bicycle use. Currently, 44% of employees choose to commute by bicycle, demonstrating their strong commitment to the company's sustainability philosophy. Furthermore, R&M's restaurant, with its bright, open atmosphere, creates a comfortable space for socializing and actively promotes vegetarian dining, further reducing carbon emissions by reducing meat consumption. Applicants are also asked during interviews whether they are comfortable with a vegetarian diet, in line with the company's environmental commitments.
