2024.02 BAS Code of Conduct Project Launched
With the thriving development of the bicycle industry, members of the Taiwanese bicycle industry have continuously contributed to the industry's growth, complied with socioeconomic regulations in various regions, and adhered to the principles of integrity in business operations, maintaining free and fair world trade. Taiwan’s bicycle companies are committed to fulfilling their corporate social responsibilities and hope to exert their influence to guide and lead the sustainable development and continuous operation of domestic and international bicycle industry supply chains.
To support and guide members in meeting their corporate social responsibilities, the Bicycling Alliance for Sustainability (BAS) has established the "BAS Human Rights Code of Conduct" (hereinafter referred to as the "Code of Conduct"). The Code of Conduct outlines the basic consensus of the Taiwanese bicycle industry on human rights values and labor rights. All BAS members will comply with the Human Rights Code of Conduct, prevent and eliminate violations of human rights, and ensure that all workers and stakeholders in the industry are treated fairly, equally, and with dignity. The Code of Conduct aims to protect labor rights in the industry and guide the companies to actively respond to the development of globalized economy and sustainable development trends.
